• Main aim: Cooperation for Common Future envisions and gives a unique opportunity to build up an institutional mechanism for bringing young people from North Macedonia and Greece together and giving them an opportunity to collaborate by getting to know each other. 

Project Logic

IF young people from North Macedonia and Greece are systematically connected through dialogue, joint activities, knowledge exchange and inclusive participation mechanisms, AND IF they are provided with tools, spaces and governance models to actively shape cooperation, THEN youth-led collaboration can evolve into a sustainable, institutionalized platform that strengthens trust, reconciliation and long-term bilateral relations between the two countries.

Key Achievements

Youth engagement and participation:

Over 9,968 young people participated directly in more than 140 activities implemented across four phases, including dialogues, exchanges, workshops, cultural events, research activities and policy-oriented forums.

Cross-sectoral network building: 

Established a cross-sectoral cooperation network of over 180 active stakeholders from civil society, media, education, entrepreneurship and culture, strengthening bottom-up and top-down cooperation mechanisms.

Youth empowerment and leadership:

Developed and implemented Youth Ambassadors Programmes, local Info Points in Valandovo, Athens and Florina, and engaged young people as facilitators, content creators and community mobilizers.

Research and evidence base:

Conducted surveys, focus groups, interviews and system-mapping processes involving hundreds of young people and stakeholders, producing evidence-based insights on bilateral youth cooperation and policy needs.

Governance and institutional readiness:

Developed core governance tools for future Bilateral Youth Cooperation Offices including: Inclusive Governance Charter; Diversity and Inclusion Board Policy; Board Competency Framework; Mentoring Programme for future board members

Visibility and outreach:

Reached over 150,000 people through media coverage, digital campaigns, podcasts, TV appearances, newsletters and public events, positioning C4CF as a recognizable regional youth cooperation initiative.

Policy influence and advocacy:

Engaged national and international policymakers, parliamentary youth structures and European-level actors, contributing to policy dialogue on youth participation, peacebuilding and regional cooperation.

Sustainability and legacy:

C4CF established a resilient and transferable model for youth-led bilateral cooperation, ready for institutionalization once political conditions allow, and applicable to other regional contexts.
